Many people tend to want to stay at home in winter, wrapped up in a blanket, curled up in front of the fire. Little do they know that winter is actually the best time to go on a safari in Africa.
Seasons in Africa:
Spring – September & October
Summer – November – February
Autumn – March – May
Winter – June – August

1. Best time to go on safari
Winter time in Africa is dry. It is for this reason wildlife congregate around the limited waterholes available to drink, making it easier to locate wildlife. You also have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife in one area as they are all drawn to main waterholes to quench their thirst.

2. Increased visibility
Winter, being dry, sees many trees and shrubs lose their leaves, and the level of grass drops from grazing and easy trampling. This means that wildlife is easier to spot among the vegetation.

3. The weather
Africa’s weather in winter is pleasant. Mornings and evenings are very cold, but by midday you can often get away with wearing a t-shirt and shorts. This means you can enjoy your safari in Africa without freezing your bits off, but don’t experience the insanely high temperatures reached in summer.

4. Whale Watching
South Africa’s coast is great for whale watching in winter when you get some of the best spotting opportunities. The whales are around from about July to September, giving you plenty of time to enjoy their frolicking.

5. Deals
Travel booking agents know what a great time winter is for travel in Africa, and for that reason you’re more than likely to pick up a great discount on a travel package or booking because agents want to make it easy and appealing for travelers to book.

5 great reasons to get your butt off the couch and do something constructive with your winter months. The couch can wait.

Family travels can make extended-enduring remembrances and pleasure picking up encounters for parents and kids indistinguishable. In any case traveling with kids can now and then be a test of patience –and of persistence. In order to properly prepare, careful research and finding Travel Tips for Free is essential.

BEFORE LEAVING

Begin a countdown logbook with possibly a photograph or outline of the destination. Choose what sort of dress (ideally detached and pleasing), but permit them to pick their top picks and to pack an exceptional toy. In a little sack, pack some treats and gum, hand wipes, tissues, books, paper, markers in a modest, tightly fixed plastic pack and maybe an amazement toy (wrapped up as a present).

Upgrade vaccinations for the whole clan. Since voyaging abroad, check with accessible constitution powers for fitting supplemental vaccines. Relying on the end of the line and span of finish what has been started inoculations would be suggested (in spite of the fact that some cannot be given to children):

• Hepatitis B vaccine
• Typhoid vaccine
• Hepatitis A vaccine
• Immune globulin
• Yellow Fever vaccine
• Japanese B Encephalitis vaccine
• Meningococcal vaccine
• Rabies vaccine

AT THE AIRPORT

Reaching early to plank as one avoids final moment defers and turmoil, particularly with the unique security regulations. Make certain to have a safeguard arrangement if any individual inches toward getting separated at the runway. Weigh in on where to meet and what to do.

Review with kids screening techniques before dropping in security checkpoints so they should not be scared by the course of action. Each individual, combining tykes and children, should undergo screening at security checkpoints. Likewise, all little person-identified gear should experience the X-flash machine. To speed the technique in, evacuate kids from their strollers/infant bearers and collapse/fold the supplies so it could be shown or put through the machine. When running through metal finders, with a child, have one guardian keep the toddler and stroll through the machine. Try not to hand off the infant under the locator, or hand the child to the screener to keep. Kids who can stroll might as well endure the metal locator autonomously. For more advanced in years youngsters, it is critical to focus on that the technique might as well be taken genuinely and that threats made even as a joke might consequence in law implementation being summoned.

ON THE FLIGHT

The most fit mentor seats to have when flying with minor youngsters are the first column in economy class. There’s a considerable measure of legroom, and you’ll be uprooted from the greater part of the plane when the young folks get irritable from the extended flight. In the event that the front line seats are not good to go, put tykes at a distance from the path, rather in the middle of dependable grown-ups. Likewise, recollect to get up, stretch and stroll around with young folks frequently in the midst of the flight, but make a point not to permit squirts to stroll around unsupervised.
Carry packaged water, lip balms, hand sanitizers and moisturize to rehydrate in the midst of the dry flight; gum, pacifiers and containers to lessen gaseous tension on the squirts’ ears;

ONCE THERE

Have a day by day plan arranged with some adaptable, unlimited time for every household member. Furnish companions or relatives with telephone numbers and locations of lodgings where the clan will stay, transportation info and crisis contact data. If conceivable, everyone should have a wireless or walkie-talkie to keep in touch. Thinking of a crisis arrangement ahead of time is an exceptional plan in the event that you end up separated.

AT THE HOTEL

Please welcome today’s guest blogger Sunil Govind from http://www.orlandoescape.com.

An Orlando vacation doesn’t have to break the bank. Although tourists can’t control the price of admission to Orlando’s most popular attractions, there are many options to help cost of eating in the city.

There are several things to consider when choosing an eatery in Orlando. The type of food, the atmosphere of the restaurant and its location within Orlando are all factors that affect the menu pricing. Many restaurants with pricey menus have earned every right to charge those prices. Others have high prices that do nothing more than leave a bad taste in the diner’s mouth.

Breakfast Savings

Breakfast is where vacationers in Orlando can save the most money. Most hotels and resorts offer free breakfast. Taking advantage of these is a great way to save. If breakfast out is a must, try old and affordable standbys like IHOP and McDonalds. People who want a home cooked meal while on vacation can try Brian’s Restaurant on Orange Avenue is ideal. This restaurant features cozy décor and a reasonably priced menu.

Combine Dinner with Entertainment

Dinner shows, such as the Makahiki Luau Dinner at Sea World, are budget friendly, even though they may not seem like it. The price of such activities would be expensive if it only covered just a show or just a meal. With dinner and a live show in included in the price, only half of the total spent can be considered a dining expense. The addition of a lively show simply ensures that the family is treated to a night everyone will surely remember for many years to come. There are many dinner shows are family friendly while including activities that the whole family can enjoy. Medieval Times is such a dinner show. There, the meal is served with no utensils, so even toddlers don’t feel left out. The lively show will keep the kids occupied while dining.

Dining on I-Drive

Along International Drive, or the I-Drive as locals call it, there are numerous Orlando restaurants to choose from. In this Orlando location, the biggest factor on the price is the location of the restaurant.

Buffet style restaurants on I-Drive are the most budget friendly. Two of those restaurants, Sweet Tomatoes and CiCi’s Pizza, are good places to go for lunch. Sweet Tomatoes, a health food and vegetarian friendly restaurant, is tailored to adult diners. Meanwhile, CiCi’s Pizza, specializing in Italian food, is appropriate for the younger diners. Texas de Brazil Restaurant is ideal for dinnertime. The restaurant has a larger than average buffet comprised mostly of Brazilian foods. Although it may seem pricey, it actually at first glance, closer inspection of the menu reveals a very budget meal. Appetizers, dinner and dessert are all included in the menu price for the buffet. If more savings are desired, drink water with the meal instead of ordering tea or a soft drink.

In-Room Dining

Many vacationers prefer to eat in their hotel room. While the cost of reserving a hotel room that has a kitchen is slightly higher than a regular hotel room, the money saved on the cost of eating out will more than make up for the difference. Those opposed to cooking full meals in their hotel room but like snacks and light meals, should look into a regular hotel room with a microwave and small refrigerator. Pick up microwaveable meals, such as pizza rolls and TV dinners, at the local grocery store to ensure that no one goes hungry.

Please welcome today’s guest blogger James from http://www.holidaysallinclusive.com/.

All package holiday deals, which are marketed as All Inclusive Holidays, are well acknowledged by all tourists, internationally and this form is generally considered as one of the best forms of holidaying; there are plenty of such package tours available, in the present day holiday market. The extremely easy way of the whole show is really an attraction and this easiness is the main reason for its high demand. In fact, you can very rightly term all inclusive holidays as unlimited, because the word unlimited is an automatic addition, which is indeed befitting to the structure of all inclusive holidays.

Fundamentally, in almost all of All Inclusive holiday-trips you are getting unlimited enjoyment opportunities; in fact, you won’t be able to find such enjoyment opportunities, if you are opting for your own individual ways of holiday-tours. This is because, in all unlimited all inclusive holidays you are getting the highly professional guidance and advice of the tour organizer and this makes a lot of difference to the entire show.

In the same way, you will get unlimited food and drinks in all inclusive holiday-trips. This is simply great and what else to say! Even in many of the restaurants and bars, you might have encountered the limited nature of served food and drinks. In most of these cases, you would have just started to enjoy, when you see that the ordered food and drinks have got exhausted! That is indeed a confusing situation; but in all inclusive holiday-trips, you won’t come across such perplexing situations. Everything is unlimited and that is the reason why all inclusive holidays are also termed as unlimited all inclusive holidays.

If you have been to Cyprus before, you will know that it is not exactly cheap! Depending on how well you know the island and what you want to do while you are there, spending money can sometimes exceed the cost of your whole package holiday!

But there are activities to suit every budget on the island, and there are also ways to get prices down for activities. For example, try talking to local cab drivers with a few words of Greek or Turkish (depending on whether you are in the North or South). You will surprised at how much this can make them warm to you and drop a little off the price, or at least charge you a normal fare instead of raising it with a “tourist premium”!

For those who enjoy culture, you can find plenty of attractions that cost only a few Euros or are even free. Some examples of free attractions include the dramatic and historic Kantara Castle in North Cyprus. Or try exploring the Ayia Solomoni Catacombs in Paphos which have no entry fee. Many religious buildings, such as churches or mosques, are also free to enter although some may expect a small donation.

Please welcome today’s guest blogger A. J. Smith from OneTravel.com

So, you are all set for your next trip and you have decided to go this time by air. May be this is your maiden flight or you have not planned air travel by yourself on previous occasions. If such is the case and you are feeling a bit worried then let me tell you below mentioned points should help to ease out some of your tension.

Travel Itinerary
First of all try to decide the date and the destination which you want to visit. If you want to book your tickets online, it’s very simple. Do a bit of research on popular search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing to find out leading online travel portals. You will see names of different travel portals on your screen. Click on the link of your favorite portal and you will reach the portal’s website. As you enter the information including the date, arrival and departure destinations and number of passengers, you will get a huge listing of available flights on the respective dates that you requested. You may be shown cheap flights if you intend to go after some days or book your tickets few days in advance.

Personal Details
Now that you have the listing of different flights on your desktop, the next step is to fill up your personal information. First of all mention your first and last name followed by your date of birth, contact number and gender. The name and date of birth should match with the government approved ID card. In case there is some discrepancy, you won’t be allowed to board the flight. In case you want your itinerary data and ticket be delivered through email, you need to provide an email address.

Credit or Debit Card Info
After feeling up the personal details, the next step is payment. You can make payment through debit or credit cards. When you click on the make payment option, a new window with few boxes will appear. You need to enter the credit/debit card number, expiry date, and CVV code which is written on the back side of your card. Just click on PAY button and your ticket is booked within minutes.

Please pay attention to this fact that some airlines don’t share their ticket information with online travel portals. In that case you should go to the respective airline’s website and book tickets. Before booking tickets, you should also research about different airlines to know about their services and facilities. Generally government backed airlines are known for offering superlative flight services at low cost. Air India is one such airline which is backed by Government of India and features excellent services. It also covers maximum number of destinations in its class.

A. J. Smith is a travel writer for OneTravel and writes articles with special focus on airlines industry, vacations, and road trips, besides sharing tips and nuggets on booking airfares of top airlines such as Asiana Airlines, Qatar Airways .
